Back To School

Summer is officially over and school is in session.  So, what is the best way not only to score an A for class, but an A for life skills? For adults and kids, school is a place to study & learn but how do we measure our success for life skills? We take a look at what others are saying about the best life lessons they learned from school.  Number one, don’t take no for an answer. So many times in life, we are told “you can’t do ____”.  No matter what, those who often achieve greatness didn’t take no for an answer and defied those detractors who told them they weren’t capable.  From athletes to top CEOs, knowing what your strengths are and going after what you know you want takes strength.  Sometimes, we are not sure what we may be capable of achieving and it takes someone else to point out our strengths.  Whether for friends or colleagues, it’s never a bad idea to point out the good you see in those around you.  So many of us are used to criticism that encouragement goes a long way, especially in kids.  Another factor in those who succeed is perseverance.  Those who can fail, fall, and finally get up will often be the ones at the finish line of life.  When we come into the world, it’s all new and everything takes on hugs proportions.  What never changes is that life always grants us challenges, but in the game of life, it is how we play and how we move forward that determines what our personal successes are.
